This python is of African origin, it is found particularly in the west in the following countries: Togo, Ghana and Benin
Biotope:
Description:
Python Regius is a very timid snake a snake so much stress during handling or multiple factor
There is little that the Regius Do not accept meals a point, the python regius is regulated by itself. He even tends anorexic.
This snake is terrestrial, despite what some may believe. But if you put a branch, do not worry about it to venture, although they are very clumsy
Height / Weight:
The ball python is a snake not very large, on average males are around 1.20m and for females will be more 1m50
He was already finding a Regius 1m80, which is a record.
The weight for a male would be between 1.2 kg and for females it is between 1kg500. Some females can rise to almost 2kg
Terrarium:
Level terrarium I advise to keep the individual regius not to cause them stress the complication thus power and their health because they can pass if the one, external parasites or other disease.
For a couple I would recommend a terrarium of 120x60x60
Regius and one I would for a 90x50x50
For temperatures of days I would advise a temperature between 30 and 32 degrees at the hot spot and cold spot of 27 to 29 degrees
For the night would be 27 degrees hot and cold spot at 25
Python regius humidity level does not take much, he asks that 50%
In moulting personally I give a little bit of spray in my rack to have it easier to moult (Please do not spray a lot so as not to cause disease
Behavior
The ball python is a snake so fearful that he will go out when all is quiet over this snake is nocturnal so you will not see him often out of hiding unless you catch him in action doing the grimpades. I do not recommend handling. Maximum handling time per month: 20 minutes
Power:
The power supply must vary with the size of the snake, I advise to take prey as large as the body part the largest body
I have a political power level is:
Up to 1 year meal frequency is 5 days but not with huge prey, to foster growth
From a one-year frequency of normal meals with normal prey every 7 days (on average an adult rat medium adult)
